It's always nice to hear comments about your mini, I always find its the older generation who comment, as most of them have owned or driven a mini, and many have had a mini van for work when younger.

The number of times I've been stopped and ended up chatting for almost an hour is silly, but hey if Katie can put a smile on my face its very nice knowing she puts a smile on other peoples faces too

Agreed... I live near Leics City football ground, and all the parking spaces get taken up by fans - other way some middle-aged lady just stood by it smiling and had her photo taken! Leant out the window and joked there were royalties to pay >_<

Also noticed a lot of interest from the Poles around my way... Had one of the (Polish) neighbours start talking to me this evening about it - he said that they're about £3-4k+ in Poland - no wonder!

The only downside to being flashed is that being in a Mini, my first thought tends to be "poo, what's wrong with my car / am I on fire / something's fallen off ........" - as opposed to :P Mini!

I don't worry about bits falling off, because they don't, but sometimes I do worry, as a lot of people round here flash or wave to warn of speeding cameras or police.

I do have to refrain from waving at minis when I'm driving the luton though lol

i think this is what i love the most about minis. i get waves from the same mini almost everyday on the way to school, and get waves from the younger drivers and older drivers, even waves from beetles and yesterday (mustve been a show on somewhere) several triumph heralds and things. tis like one big family :)

There's a few Binis who have started doing it to me around here :P
And a miserable mini driver I see most days who refuses to wave back at me!

But getting a wave is a great experience :)

I love getting waved at or flashed from another mini owner it makes you smile so much lol, ive had an MGB owner wave at me the other week and also had a motorcyclist nod at me last weekend as he drove past me......

I also got waved at by a group of young girls today, glad too see the youth of today still like the classic mini's :)

Another thing is when I flash someone to let them in/out, and they don't go, I automatically think my full beam lights have packed in :)

Lol,

yeah, then they stop and get out to check to see if their lights are working or if anything else is wrong. then, scratching their head, they continue on with their day...

I remember a few years ago I was driving my mini van in Brisbane. I guy coming the other way in a mini got so excited he managed to get his whole torso including both arms out the window to wave at me! I'm not sure whether his passenger was holding the wheel or not. I'm damn sure I couldn't get my whole torso out the window whilst maintaining throttle control and not crash into anything :ermm:

Cheers,
