I've just got a fine through for £40 + £18.34 for not retaxing my Mini which ran out a month or so ago. It takes the *yellow human water*, I've had NO reminder, and I posted the SORN form a couple of weeks ago.
This is before I can even drive the sodding thing.

Well maybe you can give then a ring and sort it out, I mean if you sent the SORN then they should let you off the fine.

If you get the SORN done at teh post office they give you a reciept for it. You are right, you have to do all the work to not pay them and they do s*d all to get it off you.

Thing is, I posted the SORN form so I have no proof that I sent it then.
I've still got insurance to pay in June (£1300), I have to tax and mot it, and price of lessons and test. The only option to pay for all this stuff is to sell my numberplate

It's meant to be worth a bit. Its a cool plate for me too, 'because my race number is 727.

Don't see the hype with number plates to be honest. Sure its great to have a nice one but I would much rather spend the money elsewhere!!
Luckily around here registrations aren't transferable so each car is stuck with its plate forever

Same here... Kinda cool to have a personalised plate, but I rather have a finished Mini (if there is one).Don't see the hype with number plates to be honest. Sure its great to have a nice one but I would much rather spend the money elsewhere!!
