well what answer were you expecting..! the seam strips are there to cover the seams, no other way of covering them.

Just an idea ;)

Seriously no. I don't quite understand what you mean by covering up the seams?

no-ones taking the *yellow human water*, you asked a question and received the standard answer, a) its a hard thing to do right, b) ideally you need to keep the roof gutter and c) its been covered on the forum several times.

You then asked how to cover the seams, please can you explain what you mean if not with the seam-strips?! About the sills, I think mini-herbie has these smoothed, maybe you could see if he knows anything about it?

1, cut around the middle of the arch with a grinder then cut round the
outside of the arch above the lip and take out the section
2, using a piece of card ,place it inside the wheel arch and mark around
the cut arch to make a template
3, cut around the template line, using the outer piece of the template
plate this on the body over the original wheel arch, this will give
you your new arch radius, mark this and and add an extra 15mm
(this is slitted and folded to make a lip) then cut out, fold up the lip
4, measure from the edge of the inner arch to the outer lip and then
from the bottom of the arch to the other side and cut a piece of
metal to fill the gap
5, tack in position then seam weld to the arch and drill and spot weld
to the outer lip

look at my photo's on this link too see
