am i missing something? wet/dry your rear screen?!?! what the hell? why?

Theres nothing wrong with wet/drying glass, you just need to be careful with the grit you use!

When I got my Minus about 6 months ago the glass was VERY opague due to a build up of dirt and grime, tried using all sorts of cleaners and fluids but nothing was working, got some 1200 WetnDry on them and they came up sparkling!

I think by "wet and dry" what mad_mike actually meant to say was "ultra-coarse sandpaper" ;)

I think the corsa guy did it a bit wrong though and made it worse!!

stuck with it till the end lol, TMF hasnt ever had any project threads like this has it? its only because most chavs wouldnt bother with a mini where as a corsa is more their style (not thats all corsa owners are chavs).

I don't believe we've ever had any projects as bad as this. I think the worst 'modificaton' I read about was the guy who cut down his suspension trumpets by the amount he wanted to lower his car by, not realising there was a ratio to these sorts of things. Then when we'd told him the error of his ways he cut them in half, then tried to 'stick' them back together with some wire mesh and duct tape!

to be honest, I felt sorry for the guy, he was at least giving it a go and he did seam to be getting better at it.

I'm pretty sure we all did some stupid things when we first started playing with cars, that how we learned!!

(nobody mention the time that when I was 14 I welded next to a leaky petrol line and a petrol can, bye bye garage/mini/tools etc)

I would hope he would have got a bit more support on TMF!!!

One the one hand, there are some people who are simply naive, and then there are those who are just plain stupid.

Bodge welding, drilling your throttle body, putting your directional tyres on backwards, and that "strut brace" aren't even naive or stupid; they are just sheer outright dangerous imho.

Then again, I suppose if he can't be bothered with insurance, MOT and tax are both doubtful too.

Maybe he just put the wheels on the wrong side of the car.

Without looking at the whole 37 pages, think corsa boy just bolted that wheel onto the wrong side..

Funny pictures though ^_^

Cant get the link to work either, but judging by Rob's pics.......

to be honest, I felt sorry for the guy, he was at least giving it a go and he did seam to be getting better at it.

I used to be on corsasport about 9 nine years ago, some good people on there....then.

You always get one person on all car forums that stand out head and shoulders, this is obviously theres, but like above thats how alot of people learn.

You just gotta bite your tongue and try not to laugh
