Can anyone recommend any Mini restorers in the West Midlands (near Birmingham pref)? Want to get a quote for some bodywork.

I think Surf Blue has a VERY good reputation, although im not familliar as im a little further south than that.

Ive heard enough horror stories about them to say dont bother.

But I've not had any work done their either.

Just be wary with them.

Wow thanks guy but its SOOO confusing!! Ive been looking on the forum and seen some shocking reviews of both Surf Blue Garage and Dereks Minis! Anybody heard anything about Col's Mini Center in Feckenham (near Redditch)? J&J Minis had some good reviews but their website is so naff looking- it doesnt really inspire confidence... I know that sounds ridiculous! Every time i look into a recomendation i find a load of bad comments and feel like im back to square one!
Does anyone have photos of work done by any of the above?

I can recommend a top bodyshop used by the trade. He painted the bare shell of my mates mini last year and i it AI. Cheap too

Just dont go to the cheapest you get, make sure you use someone who you know is good, theres so many places that do bodge jobs of em. My boyfriend took his mini to a guy in Derby, who said he'd put a new front on it and respray. About 6 months later rust started coming through really bad where it had been before, and my boyfriend then realised that he hadnt taken anything off, just sprayed round everything, the front hadnt been replaced either. When he went back to confront the guy, he'd gone....just a warning to ya!

Basically: Supply, fit and paint new wings, a panels, front panel, scuttle repair panel, inner and outer sills, sill step repair panels and full respray! Obviously this doesnt come cheap!!
