After watch Ultimate Mini over the weekend I was thinking, would it be a good idea to make a DVD of the Brands-Nurburing?
There's plenty of material for it:
Interviews with the runners
Continantal driving
Laps of the ring
Featured cars
Funny moments
I could knock somthing together and then sell the DVD with all profits going to MacMillian...
What do you think?

If you are gonig to sell it as a DVD then it would need to be a good quality video and therefore an expensive Camera (I presume).
Now would it be a passenger in a mini with a camera
or
A motorbike video team (this would take a bit of organising but I belive you could get better results of all the minis driving)
or
(As someone did on the Italian Job) Set up a video mini with 3-4 cameras on it, one inside and a couple outside - looking forward and back.
Realisticly I dont think we will be able to produce a saleable product this year but deffinately learn lessons for next time.
I have been speaking to a Motorbike friend about the possabilities of this but just chatting/dreaming.
We will definately have alot of amature video form several people that we could edit into a cool show, but I think it would probably just be a showpiece for the forum.
(I might know someone who could edit it as well - or another forum person/friend)
Im sure Mark and Nick will have thoughts on this as well.

i have been experimenting with this and it works well.
having team of motorbikes do it i think spoils it a bit.
when i film this i will be using a dvd camrecorder as will alex these can be easily edited and made into one documentary.

And as MadMax pointed out there might not be a huge market for it, I mean afterall how many people have TMF t-shirts?

Editing is not a problem (I have the software and a high power pc!). My best mate has also been involved with editing for a few years now... and he's willing to help!
I agree the market wouldn't be huge... but I bet some will sell and as its for charity thats GOT to be a good enough reason to do it at all!

and even if we can't sell it afterwards it's worth a try... unfortunately i have no videocam or anything equivalent so i'm not a big help to this...
at least we would get some experience with that, and we had a great marketing instrument to get professionals doing it for next year (top gear etc...).
go for it!
