PROGRESS !Well Havent got the pics onto comp yet but soon will (once i get ahold of my bloody camera cable!) Remind me
Started the day off by having a good sweep, cant stand working in aload of rust and stuff.
Decided to trim down the donor boot floor, Removing all of the access brackets and rear seat thingy.
Tipped him on his side and started inspecting the mounting points and rust in places, then roughly vut the boot floor out of Gravy to get it out of the way then trimmed off all of the left overs.
Cut out the subframe mounts and part of the side as the damn subframe bolt had no thread on it at all along with some rust.
Cut the donor one to shape and welded that in place, then alighed the mountings up so we know the Subby will fit properly.
Put the mini back down then mocked the boot floor up on some axel stands and put some bolt through some holes so its centered then trimmed some more bits to make it fit abit better.
Tacked inside along the rear seat thingy (took some getting right!)
Tacked it on the arch both sides while it was on each side, then welded it up abit more so its stable.
while it was on its side we cut the over-sill off to find the rusted remains of the old sill, so i cut most of that away and it'll need a little bit of patching underneith then the new sills will be going on.
All that sounds alot eisier than it atually was!
Quite pleased with the progress today, wouldnt of been able to do it with out my dad and his mate
