hi everybody!

you all know the stuff that is on mini floors, its that thick hard stuff that i assume was used to help with sound proofing.

well with my mini being repaired its had new floors put in and i want to replace this stuff to keep noise levels down and help with water proofing too.

anyone know where i can get such a thing from? the guy repairing my mini said hes seen it before but its not specifically for cars, he said it usually comes in a roll, and you can sort of cut the shape out you want and when heated up it forms to the shape of the floor and then sets. silver on top , black underneath.

any help with this would be brill.

cheers guys.

I've bitumen padding usualy used for roofing is the going choice, that or theres propper removable carpeting sound padding you can buy in rolls. I guess it depends what your looking for in terms of your body work and how easy you want to remove it the next time your footwells need replacing.

I use bitumen sound deadening pads, they come in boxes of 4 pads, 2 foot square, which is enough to do a mini's floor.

The panelshop, in Weston. It's on a little estate behind Sainsburys. Ask for Rich, say Pistol Pete sent you! Otherwise you can get em from pretty much any bodyshop or motor factors.
