Gidday Richard! I'm gonna ask a stuupid question now (as I'm fairly new to the Mini building thang!) - what is a 4age???
Where bouts in Otago are you? Gonna be watching the Super 14's? Come on the Crusaders!!!

P.s. I lived out in NZ for about ten months a few years back, and even I know 'Andy from Cornwall', lives on the south island can't miss him ???!!!???

4A-GE is a toyota engine, found in levins, truenos, mr2s and corollas. There are a few different 4A engines, 4A-FE is the economy engine (fwd corollas), 4A-GE 16valve blue and red top engines which are the earlier engine (rwd corollas, mr2s), 4A-GE 20valve silver and black top engines which are 160-170hp factory (levins, truenos), 4A-GZE 16valve or 20valve supercharged (truenos) and 4A-GTE 20valve turbo (japanese fwd corollas). Mine being a 20valve silver top which i will be rebuilding the internals with forged pistons, uprated rods and crank, etc.

In a little place in central otago called Roxburgh, 25mins drive south of Alexandra. Not really into the rugby much now due to it being way to comercialised.

Only just started into the New Zealand mini scene so havent meet many people yet, but by the sounds of it i will probably end up meeting this Andy guy. What type of mini does he drive with what running gear? and any idea on where in the south island he lives?

Sorry mate, that was a bit of English sarcasm/irony - I've no idea who Andy is really!!

That 4A GE sounds awesome, though careful not to get a whole heap of speeding fines - I got one in my Terrano between Kaikoura and ChCh! Easily done over there !

Be sure to keep us all up to date on that project - good luck!!!

Hi, might be venturing that way at the end of the year for the silverfern rally.

Kool as, what 4age engine are you planning to run with? and are you planning on turboing aswell?

We run a variety of classic porsche 911's, with a variety of engines mainly 3.0litre though. Do you know of the silverfern rally?
