Hi, what is the best way of removing surface rust from the floorpan - I'm guessing sanding it off and rubbing it down and then painting over with hammerite which is what I plan, but what do I need to sand it with etc?

Thanks,

J

4.5" angle grinder with abrasive discs or twisted knot wire wheel is a good way of shifting rust..

Never really had much joy with hammerite always seems to brittle, chips very easily.

twisted knot wire brush on angle grinder, then some hammerite rust removal gel and then a good coat of hammerite kururst rust converter and your sorted!

go at it with a wire wheel on a drill or angle grinder and get it down to clean metal, brush on some genolite or any brand of rust reater to help keep the rust at bay to prevent it from coming back then paint over.
