Hi people, just wondering could i make my own fibreglass battery box ? i was thinking about having a go make a MDF stencil kind of thing, go around it in tape and over with fiberglass about 4 - 5 coats of it ? do you think it would work ? would it pass mot ect :shifty: thanks

dont see why it wouldnt work and it shouldnt be a problem for the MOT if you do a decent job.

Yep that'd work fine, but use fibreglass matting as opposed to fibreglass bridging filler!

I'm thinking about doing this now, let us know how it goes and show us how you did it. I'd like to not have to put a new battery box in ever again! The bottom of mine is a hanging flap at the moment!

:shifty: will do mate :) im thinking about making a few other things out of fubreglass i dont know yet though lol theres not realy anyting I could make out of fibreglass myself lol
