Does anyone know if the inner arches have to be modified for 5.5" wheels to fit ?

Thanks

you will have to trim the front edge of the wheel opening in the front wings but i never had any trouble with anything "inside/underneath" the wings and arches

Yeah, you will most likely have to trim the front edge of the arch slightly.

Moved to Paint Detailing and Bodywork.

You might get away with bending it back a little, on mine, I heated the area up to stop the paint from cracking, bent the lip flat and bent it further up so the profile of the arch was longer, if you see what I mean. This makes the lip wider but you can then trim down the lip if you want, I didn't as it was covered by my arches.

W&P's should cover 5.5's. I've got grp 2 narrows, they just about cover my 5/12 dunlop D1's, but they have a pretty wide offset.

Right thanks

I was just gonna look for a cheap set of minilights or revos to learn to drive in...but im beginning to think that there isnt really any point in wasting money vos i coulb just keep it on the steelys to learn and keep my money towards the new wheels.

I know its not an ideal situation, but you might get away with it if you fitted adjustable tie bars to push the wheels back a nads cod. Make sure you do both sides equally, best bet is to measure from a suitable point on each side, like wheel center to wheel center, to make sure you've got the best allignment.

You'll need the car retracking thou.
