Can anyone tell me what the number of teeth are on a cooper S laygear and a normal non-A+ laygear please. i.e how can I tell one from another.

cooper S / 1275 GT laygear with either have 22G1040 or DAM3168 punched into it... the tooth count is the same as a normal A series laygear... ( just a slightly smaller diameter 29 tooth end gear )

The 1st motion shaft (4th) will have 18 teeth on it...

PS.. S and GT close ratio helical gearset are A series in profile, if the laygear has a grove in the teeth then it's not S or GT ( its A+ )
