Is it illigal?

If its not, will the cops pull me over anyway just to see what the hell i am playing at?

I was having a chat with a buddy of mine earlier about it!

I think it would be funny, if you were wearing a black visored helmet, and a cop pulled you over, and when he came to the window, you just looked up at him like nothing was wrong, without lifting your visor... Do you think you would get raped by the cops for doing something like this?

:D

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be legal, but you could always run the risk of a stroppy copper who will find anything to do you for, but I think most would find it quite funny

There can't be a law against it because some people wear Burkha's which only shows their eyes therefore having a similar vision impairment as a helmet.

Not illegal, but the same rules would apply as with bike helmets - silly tinted visor obscuring your vision would get you in trouble.

i think there's some quirkyness about wearing helmets in cars. i think you can wear either a full face or open face in a car that has no roof e.g. kit cars but i think you can wear an open face helmet in an enclosed car but not a full face.

It would be like pulling over The Stig.

DJH, you have the exact same initials as me... Nice :P

As for the tinted visor, i thought that would be the only illigal bit!

I might try it, Although, i think my head would be touching the side glass, and the roof of the mini if i had my lid on!

Preferably, id like somebody else to try it first tho, So they can get in trouble rather than me :D :(

EDIT: The stig did come into the convo, along with the eppy of Top Gear where he had to go on public transport, and just stared at the mobile phone ringing... I love the stig.. i want his babies!

In the episode of Top Gear where the Stig drives the Caterham from Caterham to..... Knockhill? he gets pulled over... Don't think that had anything to do with the helmet though.

one question.... WHY ???

sounds like something a young 17 year old lad we had at work would try.

he would wear his I-pod in the workshop, even though they were banned, just to try to be clever.

unfortunately for him, he just got the sack for having a bad attitude. :D

is it a small willy thing or do you just want a bit of attention?? :P

edit: apparently you cant type in "willy", it just gets changed to willy >

i was thinking the same.. not about the willy! but the helmet.. hmmm that also sounds bad ;)

whats the point? why not go all the way and get a matching race suit?

No harm in asking!

Not sure why The Anorak had to bring willy sizes into this, that has nothing to do with it. In fact it could be quite insulting, so I'm in two minds whether or not to edit that bit out.
