It looks a nice welder, the duty cycle is longer as well, so you will be able do more welding in 1 hit.
I've just checked and it takes 5kg reels as well.
There are adaptors available to convert the reel sizes
For hobby use 5kg is usually best as if the reels are left standing they rust, and welding wire "goes off" after 12 months as well.
BUY IT!!

Ill be running it off 13 amp as well but ive heard everywhere that its fine, even on the mig welding forum they say its a okay
i think it may be the 160 then

a plus is that it comes with the big boy regulator and a thing on the back already for a big bottle as well

I run my welder off an extension lead from a 13amp supply, very naughty!!
It is ok because i don't usually weld up big stuff at home
This is my Beast
Before this I had a cemont which i never got on with
My 1st welder which I got when I 15 was a maypole mig turbo 160, ahh memories
At work we've got an old SIP 170, SIPs get some bad press but this one has been a good welder.
I have always used it off a 13amp supply and have welded up many frame, bits and bobs with it. Its done up to 10mm thick mild steel with some good results.
The thermal overload in the SIP trips before the factory wiring melts!!

Use the bigger bottle, will work out cheaper in the long run.
Get it bought, then post up some pics of your welding, won't laff, honest!!
Its a shame you're so far away, I'd pop round and get you started!!
