Hit him where it hurts baby!!

I want to buy the car, not steal it off him.

Have i taught you nothing??????????

Its a buyers market, take some cash and MAKE him fold!!

I was actually refering to you telling me to hit him, I'm far too nice for that.

I'll see what he says to £1800 cash, I'd be amazed if he'd go any lower then that.

There doesn't really seem to be many bad points I can make a fuss about to make him reduce the price. That's how I got my Cooper for as cheap as I did.

Remember he's advertised it at least twice on ebay, had to resort to getting a mate to bid on it!!!

That puts you and you cash in a very strong postition, there sometimes doesn't need to be anything wrong with it, if you're the only intersted party then bid low and bid strong.

Aim your start price stupidly low say 1500 then he may settle when you raise the price to 1700 or so, you aint got anything to loose by going low !

Don't think this one was, it was the blue one that was put up twice.

I'll start at £1500 then and see where we go from there.

Yup, walking away helps!!

I've got people by saying" Ok then, to be honest I don't think I can stretch to that, I've got a couple more to see today and I may be best to have a look at them. If you do change your mind give me a bell. I do like your car though and I'm gonna leave you with my final offer of £BBBB. If that no good to you then fair enough?"

The other problem is I kind of have my heart set on this one, so it will be difficult to walk away. Also it's 60 miles away so I'd rather avoid having to do two trips.

In that case the worst case situation is that you get in the car drive 1/2 mile up the rd and then turn around an give him what he wants!!

Also done that as well!!!

(still prefer the blue one mind)

IMHO, it should look central beween the edge of the numberplate recess and the edge of the bootlid when you look at it from behind(with the lamp aimed straight back)

I think this is what you've done so yes!!

Nice arse by the way!!

Has the SoG pm'd you?

That one was nice, but there were a couple of problems.

The auction ended early with a buy it now of £2750. It still had drum brakes, I know this is what it should have but for a daily driver I really would prefer disc brakes. It was also quite a bit further away from me then this one.

I did like it a lot though.
