shes off to pro-mo in the morning for surgery - fingers crossed. one the good side of the situation, shes basically producing more power than we anticipated.

the dyno readings we had of 145 in third, where we estimated 165-170 in fourth, are now looking more like 180-185 in fourth at high revs. in a nut-shell just a bit too much for the main bearing mount plate.

what we hadn't allowed into our calculations was the removal of the safety protocols, the very basic re-mapping on the dyno-jet commander and the modified fuelling.

turns out I've got race spec elements I wasn't aware of till I spoke to the engine supplier again this week. I thought it was a crash damage engine, but it wasn't - it was a spare race engine used in part ex to him for younger, newer specification 2005 R1 engines from a race team, thats why he was so keen to do the swap with me for the original engine I bought.

we're trying to get a more definative specification from the original owners of the engine to see exactly whats going on in there - we still cant understand how 5th and 6th gear simply just started working again ?

the boys are pretty confident they'll have her sorted for the weekend. I probably wont get there till quite late Friday now, I've got to go to Glasgow during the day.

got 2 new scratches this week :shifty:

Thats good news, so you've got a tuned lump that you didn't know about, woo hoo!!

Are you gonna be entering the show with him, or do you need to build a new trophy cabinet first?!!

Don't worry we will have a beer waiting for you at gaydon :shifty:
