the doors were fitted to a mates house !

also whats better for paint removal ? , a crimped wirebrush for the grinder or a knotted one ?

The best way is a stripping disc!!

body panels, there aint much original paint left to be honest as 80% of the panels have been replaced so just want to knock it back quickly >_<

If you use a wire brush, you're gonna score the panels, which means more prep afterwards.

This is much more gentle

planning on spending the next 6 or 7 days filler work, blocking & prepping to get it into final primer by sunday hopefully ! , how long do those paint striping discs last ?

Quite a while, the frost ones are better, but the Halfords ones are quicker to get hold of. 4ish should do a car.

ill pop through to my local tommorrow and get a couple to try :- , would've ordered a couple from frost if there better but ive taken 5 days holiday so cant really wait lol >_<

I hate the prep work, I'm too impatient!!

Don't mind the welding, aligning it all up etc, but the prep is a faff!!

Still its gotta be done >_<


Got all this to look forward to with Spudnik, as I want to bare metal him first.

(not that theres much original metal left!!!)

im the opposite im sick of welding to be honest im at the end of the tunnel now though as its all finished :( , love the prep/filler work .... its where the creation comes alive >_< , still bare metal is the only way to do a proper job :-

and on that bombshell ! ill say catch ya later !
