i had a gold fish that made it to 12years old.
he was renamed terminator after spending two weeks floating upside down (he could swim but couldnt right himself when stationary). but then returning to full fitness.

he was given a full naval send off down the loo when he eventually floated away to the big tank in the sky.

i think the wee fishys would have swam off pretty quick if you did i had a goldfish like that and i had called him remote control, lived for a good 10years and lived through a race across the floor with other fishys when i was around 3
