thanks for all the replies its a great help. sounds like its unfortunately not gonna be worth it, but i bought this engine for £50 so i thought i was half way home buut, ill speak to the stig to see what he has to say. some very good points have been raised, so what dya reckon, is it worth carrying out?

and yes do it when you think of all the jap powered minis a good old Ford thats cool
If you have a look at D Vizards book tuning your mini, he has a section about fitting Fords kent in a mini.

That one on Racecars is not the same as mine. by the way there is one on Ebay for a lot less.
