Convoys are great fun!

On the way to the Nurburgring in 2006, I was having a few reliablity problems and I had to pull onto the hard shoulder, and was joined by the 10 minis in front and 10 minis behind. Great support!

Oh and the great fun of convoy antics on the way to the L2B in 2004...

So many stories!

i was on a run on dartmoor with the club and we took a wrong turn and ended up at someones drive and had 2 reverse about half a mile up the road 2 turn around

We had a similar thing happen on one of the Kent Runs.

Does anyone here remember their first mini? I can still remember the reg of mine! lol. My first ever drive in it after my test was at night, i was driving along a road and kept thinking, "My god those headlights are bright", before finally coming to the conclusion that the inconsiderate drivers coming towards me were refusing to dip their headlights. I found out to my dismay when i decided to flash persistantly at one so inconsiderate driver to remind him of the fact he had full beam on that he didnt, because he flashed me back! I was just not used to sitting so low down. Felt a bit stupid, but luckily it was night and no-one could see me!

People do say the funniest things. Has anyone else noticed that young people hit each other when they see a mini? Not sure why, but when a convoy goes past they must get in some right scraps!

thats an icle game we do wich is if you see a red car, yellow car, mini or beetle, you punch them non the arm

I'm so excited about it right now, unfortunately I won't be able to drive it until the 28th because Dad is being anal about the payment, and I get my wages then, so for a few days I can do nothing but clean her up and decide on a name .

The odd coloured wing mirrors have been sorted and apparently there is just minimal surface rust around the headlights and the scuttle.

Looks great! Buy some polish ready and just go to town on it for a few days when you get it. (bit of a tip, keep some jump leads in the boot, lol).

The dash looks nice!

Minimania and myself were convoying down the M1 to the Ace Cafe back in February. I was planning to get off at junction 1 as this is normally where I would get off to get to the Ace Cafe. We were approaching junction 2 and I noticed a pair of round Mini-like headlights getting off at that junction, assuming it was Minimania I quickly swerved onto the slip road to make sure he didn't get lost. It turned out that the headlights behind me were from a BMW MINI, luckily Minimania had seen me get off at the wrong junction and followed me up the slip road. I felt so stupid, mistaking a BMW MINI for a classic Mini. That was a bit annoying, didn't help that we had just sat in a queue on the M1 for an hour.

On one of the South central convoys to ace cafe we were surprised to see Samwells better half hanging out of the passenger window trying to push the bonnet back down, then to see it flipping over the car and watching them collecting it from the inside lane of the M40
