I'm looking to fit a set of 1.5 rollers to a 998 head. It only has a stage 1 kit on it. Would there be any problems or would it be a straight forward swap?

if you have had the block or head skimmed you should use spacers of the same thickness to lift the rockergear up to its original height.

This makes no sense to me. If the rocker geometry was right before you skimmed the head or the block (unless you skimmed the top of the head which is unusual), then it would still be right after, and spacing the rocker gear upward would make it wrong. The correct solution if you can't get valve adjustment is to use shorter push rods. Obviously this is not cheap, but it's the only proper way to compensate for a skimmed head or block. The Vizard blue bible surprisingly got this wrong in a picture of a rocker fouling a valve spring, attributing it to skimming, which is impossible (unless it was the top of the head that was skimmed.)
