Right, I've got an hour to decide on what I shall be ordering from the Chinese.

I usually go for a simple chicken curry with mushroom and boiled rice, which is lovely... But today I fancy maybe something a little different, or maybe as well as the curry...

I love chicken and beef, but dont like egg and prawns...

What's your favourite and will I like it?

What are beansprouts? And is the plum sauce like a curry sauce?

Sweet and sour hong kong style is tempting...

Aaaah yes, that old classic Chinese dish ... Chicken satay (which is a Malay/Indonesian dish) with chips (which is American)....

I get Chinese food fairly often at home, seeing as the old dear is Chinese lol... Chinese New Year is feast-time!

This evening I made myself lamb and oyster-sauce with mixed veg noodles... all from scratch!

Why don't you just ask them not to put prawns in it Natalie :ermm: They will listen to you!! :dozing:

Aaaah yes, that old classic Chinese dish ... Chicken satay (which is a Malay/Indonesian dish) with chips (which is American)....

lol yeah because sweet and sour chicken balls is such an authentic chinese dish :withstupid:

:withstupid:

I actually had chicken and sweet corn soup, crispy aromatic duck, chicken fried rice (as Neil is fussy!!) and sweet and sour chicken balls the other night with Neil. We couldn't finish it all :dozing:

But other good options:
- Spring rolls
- Beef with mushrooms in oyster sauce
- Chilli Beef ( :D good on all of you who've said that already!)
- Garlic Spare Ribs (if your local chinese TA / mother does them that is, if not gutted!! :withstupid: )
- Won Ton Soup (especially if they give you real won tons with it!)
- Fried Dumplings (now that is actually real chinese food, make sure they give you some vinegar...not just normal vinegar, can't remember the english name :mrcool: )
- Beef with green peppers and black bean sauce
- Satay chicken on skewers (sauce to the side or no sauce, yum, just YUM!)
- Chicken szechuan style (like sweet and sour chicken hong kong style but a bit spicy)

:ermm: hmm...I can't think of anything else apart from the obvious rices and chow meins :dozing: You'd think I'd be able to think of more dishes that I think are a bit more special seeing as I've been in and around chinese TA's for 90% of my life :ermm: (just added some more...try something new next time you have chinese :withstupid: )

Oh well, I'll be in hong kong in under a week  REAL CHINESE FOOD :xxx: mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :xxx:
