Quick update with the plans for this year:

1. KAD bias pedal box with remote adjuster (rear brakes locking up too soon)

2. 3 piece lightweight alloys for the slick tyres

3. Kirkey lightweight race seats

4. Tubular front subframe

5. Lightweight steel doors (DIY job)

6. 50 bhp nitrous kit with maximiser progressive controller

I am aiming to get the weight down to 450kg and the power up to 215bhp and low 12's quarter mile time. Can't wait!!! :w00t:

Ahh well, it was worth a try.......
I remember discussing it with you months ago, ive just refitted the doors ready to have the sills fitted as i can check if the shell is flexing when we cut the outer sill off and if it does i know where to set it back to!!!!

Got any ideas of how to get the bars out once the torx bolt is removed?? It is in one peice and probably installed before the skin was fitted!!!

Cheers

That's some serious plans....

Kirkey seats definitely the way to go. nice nice nice! Wish I'd bought them in the first place.

With 478 BHP/ton you'd better invest in an anti-grav device as well, just to keep it on this planet!!

Are you going to be at Stratford in July? Would love to see the car do it's thing down the strip.

Good luck with it all
D.D.

Yes I will definately be at Stratford this summer.

I think there will be a multitude of bike engined minis there this year!! Should be good competition i think...

17/2/97 is stamped in the frame behind the long locking mechanism bar..........

Im tempted to go the whole hog and remove the glass and winder and fit perspex but then it is not user friendly on the mini runs and in the summer!!!

With the mods you've got planned, I don't think you need to worry too much about the competition at Stratford! I should imagine my car will be 200kg heavier than yours, so you can count me out for sure.
