so what are all you people doing with the automatic engines???


trying to get rid of them as fast as we can :thumbsup:


The auto engine in mine has the hardy spicer couplings as well, i believe it to be a very early engine from a auto clubman

Though the conversion topic has been covered here before, I don't think I ever bothered to post the following for those interested in DIY conversions.

change wiring slighly to remove the relay that prevents the autos starting in gear, relocating the reverse switch..


i dont know about all, but on my clubby estate it doesnt have a relay but a switch on the selector, you just need to join the two wires together that go to it other wise it wont crank over
