had that problem tooIf you're using MDF for shelves make sure you use lots of brackets, as it soaks up moisture in the air and goes all saggy!

Benches and a sink down one side and benches down the other.
The more space you get the more junk you find to fill it with

Cue junk..........

I've found that since I've organised and tidied it up I've had a lot more enthusiasm to do some work in there, because now I have room to work, and also its much easier to work because everything is easy to find, etc.
I think its very important to have regular clear outs of your garage/workshop, and to keep it clean and tidy. You'll find your life spent in there is 10x better if you do.

Maybe this is going against tradition, but I try and keep my garage as tidy as possibly now (should have seen it a few weeks ago - it was a complete tip!).

You sound so much like Simon.... I could list the colossal mountain of equipment he has in our garage, but if you walked in there now you would never believe it. He's like someone with OCD when it comes to the garage (house is a different story!).
Everything has it's place, it looks like something off American Hotrod now, perfectly clean and tidy, with room to work and he knows exactly where everything is all the time.... Since he organised it all his way he's got so much more done, he absolutely loves it!
And I get told off if I put somethng back in the wrong toolchest....

Mines about 5.3mx 3.8m and its a concrete pre-fab, depenending on who you talk to they either need planning or don't!!
When its clean, theres plenty of room for welder/welding/workbenches etc.
Wasn't that expensive either.

I got it from a place called ligget concrete, not sure if they still exist so try here as all this looks familar
http://www.premierco...egarages.co.uk/
From memory mine was £1600 errected, i had extra window/wide door/ rear door.
You will need to have a concrete base laid.
Quality wise, its not too bad, but its about £1000 cheaper than a Compton, so i've put up and shut up.

its made out of a 12ft trampoline, the poles from the safety net and a massive tarporline.

I love it keeps the wind, hail, rain and snow out

Some one (nathansminis i think) asked for the pics so here they are

Enjoy..
