How do they justify their behaviour in recent years and months, towards Classic Mini suppliers etc. if they have no jurisdiction over the Classic Mini???
Who owns MG Rover now anyway?

Nanjing...part of the Shanghai Automotive Company as far as I can tell....Rover was sold to the Phoenix Group for a tenner...Who owns MG Rover now anyway?

i dont think it would make much difference but what was the initial question about? new classic mini braned product? im sure if you mention that they might change there mind!

In May 2000.
Rover officially stopped producing cars on 8th April 2005. The brand is currently owned by Ford.

The administrators of MG Rover must be scratching their heads.
When BMW sold the business to MG Rover for pounds 10 it included a licence to use the registered trademark Rover on cars. MG Rover claims that last year they sold all the intellectual property rights to the Rover 75 and 25 to Shanghai Automotive for pounds 67 million.
Shanghai Automotive appears to be claiming that it can build these cars under the Rover marque, but that would be unusual in trademark licence terms, according to Neil Maybury.

Apparently it's a right Cluster, the chinese bought the rights to the silouhette's and names of some cars, not others and failed to purchase intellectual property rights on any of it
Which is why the new cars will be now under the brand name Roewe, the Rover name going to Ford due to the connection with Land Rover.
MG of course going to Nanjing, as said above.

BMH just have the licence to produce panels and shells for the Mini.
I believe there was a period where BMH was owned by BMW, they are now independant.
