There isn't really any point trying to say 10's aren't any good, they have been proved over and over again to be the best size mini wheel, unless you've got a stupid sized engine or need massive brakes. The mini was designed with 10's in mind, not 13's. A mini on 13's even if factory original (sportspack etc) fell awful to drive compared to a mini with 10's. 12's are a good inbetween, good handling and look beefier if thats what floats your boat.

you could possibly fit 165's with inner tubes but they would look a bit daft.

No, they've been designed to be able to take the stress of driving over soft, level turf. Not the pot holed, bumpy hard rods of Britain!

Realistically they would have to be put to the test before we can say yes they are safe or no there not. The issue that goes with them is the tyres. I cant see it being a good idea but would look good at shows if they were put on once you were there.

you can get tyres for that size of wheel, think outside the box, wet-race tyres or something? i'll try and find the link i had a while ago!

the problem i would have is if the wheels themselves could stand up to the abuse of the road...

if the wheels put up with abuse of race it will stand upto road use...only thing about wet use tyres are there usualy softer compound...means on road use they will wear fairly quickly...obviously in race it doesnt matter because only used for short times

i wasn't worried about the race wheels they use, i'm more worried about the golf cart wheels, being used on the road, surely they wouldn't be strong enough?

No, they probably won't be strong enough, as I said a few posts up.

Race tyres aren't approved for road use. MOT fail and reason for police to stop and fine you.

do a search! I looked into this in detail a wile ago, some have a massive offset so they would be able to be used with normal brakes, I personally wouldnt tho because they werent designed to take the weight and pure power of an a-series! :)
