OK this is a question for all of you out there, to see what you think would make the Riviera Run better next year? IF you would all be so kind to list your ideas and then i will total them all up and myself, bungle and millsminis will see what the CMC can do to fulfill your dreams? So please fire away and be honest, but please dont get silly!!
Thanks alot all

ile be coming with a few of my mates!
here are some plans....
wet T-shirt competition (white T-shirts only)
a few more stands wouldnt go a miss
some good weather
in stead of a run, how a race?
what about a theme? like 70's? or some thing? every one has to come dressed liek there from that era?

the show is the worst bit of the hole event. its the same stalls evey year so once you have been to 1 show its all the same, the show and shine should be abit fairer for the cars that drive down. and most off all is a auto jumble, i know it must be hard to get people to drag all there old stuff down there but it would make the show much better, clubstands.... the drive down on the M4/M5 and the run round on the sunday are the bits we (meaning my bods from Lough) go for. oooooyeah and cheeper camping
£25!!!!!!! for 2 nights.... i know you can stay all week but most people don't.

also less Punto turbo's ragging round the site at 3am on monday morning!
But seriously.......
a central marquee or similar with a bar for Mini owners, with entertainment, rather than the clubs with cabaret. To be fair, they weren't bad, but it would have been nice to have somewhere to go in the evening to be just amongst Mini people, and have a bit more of a laugh.
Its really limited on space in the campsite itself so I guess lines of cars are out of the question, but maybe an area that isn't the show and shine where the cars can be displayed?
Surfing escapades to the beach!!!
free autotesting

What was with all those rude boy cars in the camping area..?!?!?!?
An auto jumble would be good as quite a few mini's are limping by the time we get to Trevalgue. Would be nice to go and pick up replacement bits!! The space on the carpark is a bit tight though so appreciate that the show itself cant extend too far.
Stricter rules on the parking - I know its difficult, but there always seems to be a gridlock in certain areas where cars are parked on the road & the other traffic cant get through.

I wanted to go but my miserable son wouldn't come so it would have been a bit of a sad old loners trip to go on my own. I did a bit of the run but came home after Membury. I suppose I sort of earned my plaque.
Speaking for the 2004 run which we did make.
I thought the campsite was well looked after - clean toilets etc.
The cabaret was a bit naff
How about a more intersting route than motorway - we came home A303 which is a proper road, more suited to mini driving. (Also stopped at Fleet Air Arm museum which was V. good).
The road run was good - we enjoyed seeing the locals come out to wave, but it would have been nice to have a half way stop somewhere to pose a little.
£25 is a bit steep for two nights in a field but I guess there are overheads to be met.
There was not much to do during the day. A whole day of showing was a bit much so we went into Newquay. We liked the seals swimming in the harbour.
Will try to make it again next year.
