Its an outer sill, but it is the wider over sill which goes over the top of the original sill. I would avoid it if possible and replace the outer sill instead of covering it.

thanks alot, right what i want to do is change to hole sill. will the inner and outer be enough? (i know it sounds obvious) but is there anything else? thanks alot cj
