Hello...

Im very bored so thought id let you all know, that if you HAPPEN to place a spanner on your windscreen wipers while working on your car....

Then forget to take it off before going for a drive....

Theres a good chance it wont fall off!.....

Untill you use your wipers....

Not like im talking from personal expirence or anything :genius:

couldnt believe my luck!, id driven over 20 miles with many roundabouts. Then it starts to spit with rain, so i flick my wipers... whoah thats a funny noise...crash.... :dontgetit: whoops, thankfully i was on a empty dead straight long road coming out of a industrial estate, so jumped out and ran down the road and picked it up!

im sure many of you will sleep easier now knowing your needn't worry about leaving tools out (unless its raining)

:P

Dave :P

My boss drove his split screen vw camper 3 miles into town with the keys to work hooked around the mirror. Not as impressive as your story, but an anecdote nonetheless :P

what size was the spanner? the exta wieght of a larger one might help it stay there for longer.

Doesn't match up to the greatness of a spanner, but i have a rivet sitting in the roof trim and thats been there from the day i got voo :P

Guess thats cheating though as it would be pretty hard for it to come out..

I was just saying this morning in a Silly Chat thread, I once did a 90 mile round trip with a much loved leaving-school-present watch perched on a ledge under the bonnet. :P

One of my wipers came off once as I was driving, it managed to stay on my bonnet all the way home! Probably about 10 miles or so despite all the roundabouts etc...
