Take it all off and weld in a new panel!

It seems from the picture there is a dent or two and a couple of holes and then the problem of half of it missing!

You've got your work cut out mate i spotted your free mini thread before before,
Good luck

Yeah you'll need to cut it all out and replace with new metal. Chances are if the rusts done that much it'll of spread to the boot floor.

If memory serves me correct (forgive a glass of wine and a few beers!) that bit is flat? You could cut the carp out and replace with sheet steel!

Whatever you will need to cover the area there are a few people that have chucked the spare wheel boot floor out the window and replaced with sheet steel!

The thickness you will need is roughly that of a mini roof!

Just done a similar repair

http://www.britishmi...p?topic=18951.0

These are the parts I used, plus a couple of bits of home made repair sections

The rear is basically a sandwich of 3 pieces of metal

You have the bodyshell, then the boot floor then the rear valance, these are all spot welded through the rear lip.

I'd have said you need to cut out the rust damaged areas, and fit a part or even full boot floor, lower rear panel, and rear valance. You will almost certainly need valance closing panels as well.
