As the title says really. Im going to have my mini sprayed soon, but want to put it through its MOT first. So as it only has primers on it. Will it cause any failure in an MOT. Or will it make the mechanic bias towards failing it as it looks a state?

no. he may ask why it doesnt match the description on the V5 but I dont think he can fail it on anything related to colour.

I assume all the glass, lights, door handles etc are still on the car ?

They have been removed for taking out the rust but they will be put back on. Its just as I'm having it sprayed properly by a friend in a paintshop I don't want to have major work done on it after the spray. Hence having its MOT first if that makes sense?

Aye, paint finish will not make yuo fail an MOT, but there will be a discrepancy with the colour on the logbook versus the MOT certificate.

Surely it'll fail if the engine is not covered in oil, as it's not a mini...
