okay, so after some advice im still confused. i need to buy the panel rather sharpish so ive taken a photo to get straight to the point....what is this panel please? im fed up of getting wet when it rains....

Looks like part of the scuttle

but i would wait a second opinion from someone else on here just incase !

its hard to tell from the picture but its the end of the top dash rail were it joins the inner A post.
you can get the top dash rail but not sure about the inner A post panel.
depending how much has gone it might be best adding a patch.
you need to take the screen out to also check the scuttle panel in that area as it might need repairs to that area also.

I'm repairing the whole front end, trouble is I dont know much about the hands-on side of things with the bodywork. all I'm doing, after speaking to a local garage, who is very mini friendly, is buying the panels and then handing them over with the car like a big jigsaw. scuttle is on the list. I'm scared that when the outer panels are taken off the damage is going to be much greater than money saved to sort the problem. any words of encouragment?

i keep finding weird things with my mini everyday or so

but all i think about is what it will be like when its finished
