Don't know if you can still get it, but I suspect it has/will soon go the same way as all the other "traditional" paints.

Used to be known as "knacker Laquer!" Gives a shiney finish, a bit like 2K, but how it comes out of the gun is how it stays as you can't work with it afterwards. IE it can't be cut or polished.

Any idea why it can't be cut and polished?

It used to be a choice of that or celly!!
If you weren't sure what was underneath the paint knakka lakka was the choice, didn't react with anything!!

To be honest I don't. I just remember buying some to blow in some wheelarch repairs on a friends Astra once, then a painter friend told me that you had to do entire panels as it couldn't be worked with once it was on. Didn't think to ask why at the time.

The only thing was it used to chip and flake it you tried rubbing it down, but it looked great. So good that one day my mate slammed the passenger door and the bottom of the door fell off!!! the paint was all that had been holding it on for quite a while judging by the look of it, and there was no visible bubbling.
Do they even still sell it?

Think its limited in what colour though.
Strange stuff, if you sand it, it just goes mushy and clogs the paper up.

you can still get synthetic it about £17 per litre and 1 litre is more than enough to do a mini, you dont even need a mask but wear a dust mask as it gets up your nose and you blow colour of the paint snot for days, lol.
i might be using some later in the year as i will be repainting one of my minis with it.
its fantastic stuff, cheap, prep does not have to be good as it goes on thick, no cutting, no polishing. no reactions.

Theres alot of gets out like signing disclaimers saying 'they are only selling it for industrial use only'.
They wont catch up with it for a long time because theres alot of people still illegally producing it.
And theres still alot coming in from abroad.
Cant complain though really!
