Hi all

I want to run my mp3 player through my head unit but im not sure what i need and if it is at all possible.
My head unit is a Sony DRIVE-S (Xplod).

On my old Goodmans head unit i used to beable to plug a jack plug into the front of it. But on this one there's nothing.

Any ideas?

:D Spencer

You probably can, but you may need to buy a cable to do so.

Can you be more specific on your model please? From what I can tell, drive-s is a feature not a model and there are lots of xplod headunits out there.

Cheers :D

as long as you have an aux channel on the back of the head unit to plug into you should be fine, get a wire from halfrauds for 10 quid, plug in,select aux output on headunit, tunes a-hoy,did this to run my ipod, works fine ( for me anyway )

They are for output only unfortunately...

Yes it does! Does this look like your headunit?

If so, then from looking at the specifications you can't plug an external player into it, sorry

Ok then abit off topic im also trying to put the music that i have downloaded from frostwire onto disc but it seems to burn onto the disc ok but when you play the disc there is no sound. Has there been a block put onto the downloads to stop people copying. It works fine when we upload it to the mp3 player.

Does it work in other CD players or is it just your car that can't play it?

No in every cd player i try we use our old downloaded music in the player's and it works fine so just thinking that frostwire must have put a block on. :D

Never used frostwire, but I doubt it has anything to do with them. You don't download from them, instead you are downloading from other people who have the file you want.

What software do you use to create the disks? Has that changed recently?

Possibly, I wouldn't trust Microsoft to do something right...

Have you tried other software? I would recommend Nero, but it isn't free. Try something like this and see if it makes a difference? If you need help with it there is a guide here that may help!

Good luck and let me know how you get on :D
