Hi

My mini is not turning over - it just clicks - noticed one of the connections on the solinoid (spelt wrong) is lose and wobbles - taped it down and the car tried to turn over but sounded wrong then and did not fire!!

Turned key again click - nothing

Battery fully charged

so - I believe a new start motor or soliniod is needed - the question is do I go for the whole start motor that way I know its fixed and have a shiny new start motor - or do I risk just getting a soliniod??

lastly its a 1330 engine (no engine number) its a E plate - I believe its a pre enganged starter will the one below be correct in peoples opinion??

Which connection did you tape down ??

The solenoid on those starters is part of the starter motor, not sure you can buy them seperate ??
