Just worked out that my 1100 did 38mpg on the way to brighton+back on sunday, this is better than i expected so i reckon i've either been driving like a girl or i've done the sums wrong. What mpg figures do you lot get? Or am i the only one sad enough to work it out ?!!?

I work on days to the tank..

So working it out, Filled it up a weekago last saturday, so that's 35 litres (ish), and splashed another 15 litres in the other day.

out of that I reckon I've done about 300 miles, with still a 1/4 on the guage...

so do finger in the air maths... 35 + 15 - 9 (1/4 of a tank) = 41 litres petrol = 9 gallons, which works out to be 33mpg.. for a badly tuned 998 running rich !

Mine will take about £19 of optimax to brim it. That'll last about 200 miles, maybe a bit more!

cheers for that...i was tooling along at about 55mph, seeing as that somehow was nearly 4000rpm in 4th and with loads of parts just changed including the engine I didnt want anything to fall apart too much. Seemed the red cooper following me down the A27 (anyone?) had the same speed in mind! Also why i browned myself on way down when i heard screeching from under bonnet - the cold air ducting between grille and n/s wing you get on clubmans had fallen out and onto the fan belt....nice....

55 @ 4000... hell you MUST have a short diff in that ! even with a 3.77 you should be doing 60.... ( I'd check the speedos reading correctly... )
