I agree with what he has said, its entirly your fault for not reseaching what you were buying, you have posted on here a couple of times saying you wanted that 'whine' and people have said you want S/C drops and/or box, and its rather easy also to see from the pics they arent S/C but i dont think the reply you got was called for and he was out of order there.

But i can totally understand why he is a bit miffed, you have basically bidded and won and said i dont want it for X reason and its not down to his listing being wrong.

Yea and I can see why.
I know I bidded on it.

and I put a bid in when it was 99p. (put max 100)
didnt think it would be close to that.

I then messaged him, and waited and waited... but no responce.
I was expecting to be out bidded... but I wasnt.

and by the looks of it. (checking bidding list)
there was only one other bidder, and I garantee from the responce I recieved HE boosted his own auction.

otherwise.
It would have sold for 99p.

yes I understand I should have done more research.
remember, I bidded when it was 99p then asked questions.

should have done it the other way round.... but my mistake.

still didnt need to recieve the responce I got.

all the other bids was done of the 1st of may... yestaday when the auction ended.
so of course... he boosted it, otherwise like I said. it would have sold for 99p.

if you ask me...
This... is not right.

and I'm going to report it too ebay.
as I said, you could try the 2nd highest bidder, as your only loosing £2 on the auction.
and he didnt say anything about that... I wonder why...

no way I'm going to buy it now.
after the repsonce I got.

he didnt even answer any of my question prior to winning the auction.
I asked...

what millage it done.
are all the gears ok?
what was the reason for stripping and selling it.

this was all before the auction ended.
no answers...

auction was at 99p then.
and I didnt bid again.

he either boosted his own auction as he wont sell to 2nd highest bidder... loosing... £2 on it.
I sent a prefectly nice email before.

letting him know I couldnt complete the auction.
and I feel I bidded on an item which was not what I thought.

my fault I agree, but he should have responded to my questions.
and I wouldnt have needed to make this thread. let alone. recieve childish emails from a grown man through ebay over £2...

Could "Bidder2" not have just been someone else who wanted the gearbox too? How can you guarantee that it was him bidding it up?

why would anyone want to bid prior to hours before auction ending...
when the auction was at 99p?

this would just increase the ammount they pay...

I allway... allways last Min bid on anything, (I just wasnt there to watch this auction end)
so I had a high max bid.

either way...
if this was a real bidder... why would you email me that responce, if you was only loosing £2 to the next highest bidder?

sorry, but...
I've sold and had people who cant pay for it. and there's been no problems selling to the next highest bidder.

he's loosing £2

That is all?
surely if you was mature enough... you would just reply and say no problem, I'll sell to next bidder...

Thats how I see it.
other people might see it different....

nope.
no way I'm paying him after the email I got.

yea I "cocked" up.
bit no way deserved the responce let alone all the hassle.

of actually either meeting him, or getting a courier to pay £45 on a item delieverd,
and trusting a seller, after that hate email... to post an ITEM? you joking...
then...
just to sell it on again.

sorry...
But I dont have that kind of money to just throw away.

if he was a decent guy, he would sell to the next bidder.

Sorry herbie but as ebay states many times if you bid it is a legaling binding contract and if he was really bothered he could take you to court and get you to pay. Obviously it would never go that far over such a small item.

Its not a question of he could just sell it to the next bidder you were they higest bidder therefore you have to pay for it end of.

If you do not then he has every right to leave you bad feedback and it would be completely justified. Also without meaning to sound rude but it it is people who bid and dont pay that give ebay a bad reputation along with buyers would misdescibe items.

As for the postage he can ask for what he wants as he offered no postage in the listing so yet again it is your responsibilty to go and collect the item. By offering postage he is doing you a favour he could just insist that you collect or arrange your own courier.

Now this is how the bidding works. Bidder 2 initially put in a bid of £90. the somebody else bid but was immediatly outbid by Bidder 2 automatically so ebay does not list that bid only the next highest corresponding bid by Bidder 2. so in your case some third party placed a bid of

£15
£24
£50
£90

I know they are same as what it says bidder 2 bid but if two bids are the same the person who bid first get priority.

This is the same reason your name is listed twice on the same value of £92 your first bid of £92 was the highest bid so is listed then somebody else bid £92 but because you had in proxy already bid £92 first then you got priority and this is why your name and bid is listed a second time indicating this

So it may have been that bidder 2 was a real bidder and that the seller had bid up bidder 2 to a higer amount but you can never prove this and reporting it to ebay will get you nowhere.

The reply you recieved however was a little over the top but was not without reason.

Im not having a go at you im just commenting on what i have seen and read

Yea I know it does Stewert.

it wont never go to caught, and he could file a dispute or item not paid for.
all he would get is being re-inburst the auction fee's and I would get a warning. (has happend with me before)

I have been on ebay awhile and know the terms and conditions.
but I know for a fact if your unable to complete a transaction there is no reason why he cannot sell to the 2nd highest bidder.

which in all fairness... and if he was decent enough... makes sence. and is a more grown up thing to do.
without going through all the hassle he will get fileing a dispute...

and... for the email I recieved. is definitly one for ebay to look at.
which I probably will do, if I recieve another reply from him thats simular.

wishing I die a painfull death...

there is no way I'm going to complete the auction now.

and I have been through a couple where I havnt been able to complete it.

he has right to leave feedback, and visa versa.

anyway.
like I said.

I see it differently that others do.

but as for the reply... a little over the top?

I think its a bit more than that, its personal abuse rather than keeping it sensible and grown up....

and from the responce I got after 1 email being sent, that I might not be able to complete the transaction.
then... sorry....

to me that auction is not even worth it, even if the gearbox was what I wanted after recieving that reply.
there's no way I will go through with pure rudeness. and poor manours. (yes, I'm not good at spelling, so might be incorrect)

either way.

since I been on ebay for about 4 years now. (got a email through the other day from ebay about it)

there is more important things in life that something so small....
and for him to get worked up over it.

I'm a laid back person, and this doesnt worry me one bit.
I made a mistake,

who's the grown up here?

Mods can close this thread.
