there was a mini featured in a magazine recently, and the guy had spent 30K on one!

Thats nothing, a while back there were a few of us trying to find pictures of the mini that was specially commisioned by Rover. Built by John Cooper's garage, and had ICE installed by Alpine (not sure on that last bit), anyway, it was extremely extravagant and luxourious! And a snip at £50k!!

you mean 33 EJB?
alpine did to a mini as an ICE car and i can completly believe £50k + as they produce screens for more than what alot of our whole cars are worth!

Rover did 2 cars as one off commissions. one was the hot rod that cost about £40k and the other was called Mini Limo. It was white with full leather interior, electric everything and a serious ICE install and that was £50k for som foreign toff with too much money!!
As for 33EJB, I believe it is currently insured for £500,000 but that will only ever go up!

33ejb is still being used in historic rallies..... it was in a mag a couple months ago. :cool:

Some collector on top gear(ages ago) bought one of the monty winners (i think) he paid £60k for it.
