its a bit of a crummy picture, didnt realize the light would reflect so much off the plastic but i think you can see what ive done lol!

it wouldent spray out everywhere, however if you left the hold uncovered it would pick up grime ect. useing tape i think with a cast iron block just below your asking for trouble with it melting.
im sure duct tape isent good for your engine.

You really need to put a hole in the top! Rocker caps are vented for a reason. I'd do as mini13 says and pop down Halfords tomorrow!?
I would spray too much oil around, but I could see the rockers flicking a bit of oil up at high revs maybe.
