I see this car at my local mini garage with out the engine in yesterday. I couldnt beleive it when the owner said it was once fitted with a Yammy R1 engine up front. It looks to be a briliant package and all im thinking of is................. A three engined powered mini lol  Two in the back & one up front. Just imagine it, 500BHP!!! 900BHP PER TONNE!!!!

Bring on those Skylines I say lol :cheese:

Hang on, just got another flash of stupidity.......3 400BHP hyabusas, 1200BHP.......2000Bhp PER TONNE..lol :ohno: Only joking, there wont be a drive shaft and diff that would take that on a mini.

How do they get the power to the wheels? Is it direct drive or chain?

Bob at my local Mini garage said its fitted with a specially designed diff that is extremely compact, which I supose would be the direct. He also said that the basic package with ecu etc. ent much over 4 grand. Im now having second doubts about my 1400 now

was it as compact as this unit then cause I ent ever seen a FWD motorbike powered mini before.(Other than that one in Mini world ages ago that stuck out the front) Thing is its a nice starting price too as it sits on the original engine mounts.

not only that but if you split the throttle cables like that Carl bloke has with his twin engined ones you can have controlled power slides by varying the revs of both engines!!
Whoo Hoooo! :ohno:

All this has got me thinking.......no no no, Ive got to restrain myself. 1400 or nothing. But on the other hand once ive built up the engine I could sel it it with the gearbox and put up a fair amount of cash towards that front end conversion.......... AHHHHHHHHH ........decisions decisions  .

Somebody please restrain me
