What you recon people, would this fail an MOT
the cars booked in to have a new door post fitted in 2 weeks but the MOT's run out and i want it MOTing so i can use it in the meen time
when the carpet and door seal are in place you cant see it, if it was seen would it fail?

funny thing is that theres now way that has happened in the last 12 months so its obviously passed last year with it?
i might box it in with some thin cardboard etc, its just to get the car through so i can drive it to minimine to have the work done, it would pass otherwise i think

You would be better of using a very, very strong carpet glue to glue the carpet back over. Mot testers can only lift carpets if they are unfixed, they cant damage any exsisting parts by pulling them apart without having to replace them to the original found condition. I know this because i brought a car with 12 months MOT, after i ripped the carpet from the inner sill i found huge holes. When i questioned this i was told the information above.

ill think of something, i mite to like you said then just spray the rust on the bit you can see so it dosnt stand out
