Have you tried turning it off and on again?

How low will I be able to wind my Mini down on hi-lo's before I need to tub the rear arches to give the rear suspension room to move.

It will be on 10x6's if that's any help.

Just wondering if I should tub them while I'm working on the shell to save me having to do it later.

Think mines lowered at the back by the best part of 2" and have not needed to tub the arches... but that's in reference to where the suspension started... basically I have about an Inch gap around the tyre at the top when the car's standing level..

Also need to use short dampers.

Is an inch enough so that you don't ever catch the arch? I have nightmares about that happening, bent pannels, mangled tyres *shudder*.

Don't suppose you have a picture of the bum end of your car so I can see how far off the floor the rear valance/sills are?

it depends on what you carry, on my old mini (12s) with two in the back the tyres would rub the arch (its not catastrophic, just wears the paint off :dontgetit: ), with modded rear arch the exhaust can be a limiting factor, my exhausts all take a bit of a pasting.

as your still working on your shell i would definitly do them, at that stage its not a lot of extra work.

It's just I didn't want to do it unless completely necessary as I want the shell to remain as unmodified as possible.

I'm never having anyone in the back, it's a two seater as far as I'm concerned.

Think I'll give it a miss, you seem to be able to get plenty low without tubbing and since I live in a speed bump infested area they are probably going to be the limiting factor.

Thanks guys.

my suspension is set very hard but i have to run with 2 fingers gap if i have people in the back

if you run with people just in the front you could go a little lower

It's difficult translating a 2 finger gap to just how low the rear (valance, etc.) of the car would be, do you have any pictures from the rear with a 2 finger gap Bungle?

Excellent, I imagine mine will be marginally lower than that due to the 10 inch wheels.

Thanks chaps!
