Hi im planning to replace PANEL A POST/DOOR STEP REPAIR R/H WIND UP WINDOW TYPE DOORS this

http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=34137

Currently the mini is on a spit( so weight is supported by pole through center speedo hole and hole in the back seat. Is it necessary to support the rest of the door frame with e.g a cross made out of box section? ( One bit to the top of the door frame then to car cross member then, one to each side of the door frame) Thanks.

You're cutting out structural areas, so I would definately be bracing the surroundings to make sure you keep everything in shape.
