Basecoat is out the gun on its own.
2k base you can thin it to how you like but any more than 2 base to 1 thinner and it will be abit wazzy and not be ever so great for painting.
Waterbase is the same, although you thin it with a waterbased thinner obviously. Although most folk just put it straight in the gun and paint.
Waterbase doesn't go as far as 2k.
