is it me or am i correct in thinking that over the past couple of months, more and more topics are being closed for what seems to be minor breaks of the rools.

the topic "competitions" was closed for what exactly?

chap 1, posts topic about winning competitions
chap 2,points out that he has spelt a word wrongly
chap 3, points out that chap 2 isnt perfect
chap 2, agrees with some fun banter
chap 4, brings it back on topic about competitions
MOD CLOSES TOPIC WITH STARK WARNING TO ALL

hey..... CHILL OUT.....stop flexing your power muscles for a minute.

compaired to other forums, the people on this forum are brilliantly behaved

yes you need to keep up the good standard of behavior, but it looks like you are going around looking for things to pick people up on so you can stick your little closed icon up.

did chap 1 complain that he was being picked on? i doubt it

i agree chap 2 could have kept it on topic by saying "hi no, never won anything in a comp
but by the way you spelt such and such wrong.

but to close it for someone being bullied seems heavy handed

at the top of this post the word "rules" has been spelt incorrectly deliberately , i await a ticking off by someone and for the topic to be filed on the "closed" shelf within minutes.

erm...

so why bring it up? surely bringing up closed topics is asking for a warning?
As pointed out by MMJ recently re: the robjaxon-bashing thread, starting another thread is not going to do you any favours?
:)

It's a bit OT to say all the Mods are throwing their weight about and closing topics too harshly because of one moderating decision!

Other topic re-opened.

so, mods aint like refs they do change there minds!!!

i think there should be a card system yellow for a warning then when theres been 3 yellows in a topic , issue a red and then smash the topic to smitherines with a golden diamond encrusted sledge hammer!! then there needs to be a full and frank report on what the ref...errr sorry mod has seen to send off ...err sorry close the topic

remember go lightly mods topics are full of nuts ya know!

We aren't one collective mind you know!! Yes, some moderation actions are sometimes a little heavy handed. I think Milsy was right to moderate that topic, however maybe he was a bit premature to close it though.

I really like that idea! I'll copy it into the staff sections and it may just get implemented! :)
