sometime durning ththe next month my car will be stripped nd am planning on stripping the paint all off ready for body work then painting i am just wondering wether a orbital sander will be good for getting the large areas of paint off the car and will this take it to bare metal ??? any idead thanks

A DA (dual action) sander is best, but an orbital sander is fine if that's all you've got. I prefer using paint stripper if you want to bare metal the shell. If you do it carefully panel at a time it works great. Just be sure to wear good gloves and goggles, you don't want that stuff getting in your eyes.
