that'll be sweet.... I was actually thinking about doing all of the pieces i did white on mine the subaru wrx blue..... then it would have been blue and orange also.

in my opinion you should lose the 13's on this one and drop it back on 10's, slam it to the ground with ridiculously stiff suspension and style it like a mighty mini race car..... then work your magic in the engine bay.

whatever you decide with it.... good luck

Might put it on 10's at some point, but at the mo, these wheels are nearly new and got loads of life left in them.

Went round to my mates today and had a rumage thru his garage and managed to get a few bits for the new mini in exchange for some of the bits I don't want any more.

Got a Mountney steering wheel, a little faded, but it'll get sorted. Changed the lights back to their original rears without reversing lamps and amber front lenses (clear lenses don't do it for me). Changed the colum stalks to the later type so that the indicators are on the right side now :erm: And took the speakers out from the back. Discovered a hole in the rear seat pan, but thats no big deal.

You can't beat original lights in my opinion.

how hard is it top mount the gear change inside apart from a bit of welding, to you have to change the lengths of the linkages?

Its got to be said, 850's are realy mundain! Spent a couple of hours tweaking this afternoon and have managed to squeeze a bit more power from it. It actually has some go in it now when you put your foot down

i'd would be interesting to see what kind of difference there is between 850-998-1098-1275-1380 in a drag kind of race, anyone up for it at nurburg  ???

as for the car rich i like her, i agree with the rear lights, my clubman has those and they look much better than the reverse lights ive got on my '83
