Pigeon Poop On Paintwork - Any Ideas

I purchased some T-Cut Metallic restorer and the stains came right out...
After I do a cut and polish, can anyone recommend a top quality wax / paint protector that can be applied to stop this nonsense in its tracks?
I'm willing to spend a decent amount to keep the maintenance effort to a minimum.
I currently use a basic Turtlewax but clearly that doesn't help.
Would something more expensive like Meguiars (they seem to have a range of paint protectants rather than waxes) do a better job?

Thanks for all the advice everyone (even the slightly strange ones was a good laugh!)

I always use Auto Glym, either the regular wax (red label) or for darker paint the deep wax (black label) and then go over it with the paint protector (gold label, although I’ve yet to do this but the results i've seen are mint, BigEnd uses it, it's apparently a little difficult to use but ultimately worth it).... there was a review of the Auto Glym products in the last issue of mini world (or mini mag) the one with the red car on the front, over all they did very well.
hope this helps
